What is the FFL Transfer Fee?
This fee covers the processing of the firearm transfer through a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder, which included the 4473 paperwork and required Background Check. Our Transfer Fee is $25.00 per firearm and $35.00 per NFA item, unless being shipped from SilencerShop directly, no additional transfer fee apply.
Do you offer discounts to military, law enforcement, and first responders?
Yes, we offer special discounts for military personnel, law enforcement officers, and first responders. We offer items at an extreme discount with proper verification, as we are a First Responder Owned and Operated Business. We also participate in programs like the Smith and Wesson Guardian Program and FN Individual Officer Program, which provides discounts on certain firearms. Can I special order items?
Yes, you can special order firearms and other items. If the item is available through our distributors, we can place an order for you. If it’s not immediately available, you can add it to your wait list/wish list within you account.
Do you buy used guns?
Yes, we buy and trade used firearms. Bring your used firearm to the store for an appraisal, and we can make an offer based on its condition and market value.
How do I legally purchase a firearm in Florida?
To purchase a firearm in Florida, you must pass a background check, complete the ATF Form 4473, and comply with both federal and state laws. Handgun purchasers must be residents of Florida, while long guns can be purchased by out-of-state residents under certain conditions.
What is the wait period if I don’t have my Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) in Florida?
Without a CWP, there is a mandatory 3-day waiting period (excluding weekends and holidays) for purchasing a firearm in Florida. Some counties may have longer waiting periods, please check with your local shop in that county. Currently Martin County is a 3-day wait period for the city of Stuart.
Can I bring a firearm for you to ship to another state for me?
Yes, we can handle shipping firearms to another state. The firearm must be shipped to an FFL holder in the recipient’s state, where they will complete the necessary background checks and paperwork. All we ask is that you cover the shipping cost once packaged.
Do you take consignment guns?
Yes, we accept firearms on consignment on a case-by-case basis. Consignment allows you to sell your firearm through our store, and we take a commission on the sale. Our current commission is 15% from the sale.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, we offer gift cards that can be used for purchases in-store. These make great gifts for firearm enthusiasts.
How can I gift a firearm to someone after buying it?
It’s best to purchase a gift certificate for the intended recipient. This allows them to come to the store and choose their firearm, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and personal preferences.
What is the minimum age to purchase a firearm or ammunition?
In Florida, you must be at least 21 years old to purchase any type of firearm. For long gun ammunition, the minimum age is 18, while for handgun ammunition, the minimum age is 21. Some stores may have a store policy limiting all ammunition sales to be 21 years old, check with your local shop.
What is your return policy?
We offer a return policy for items within 10 business days of receipt. Items must be unopened and in original packaging for exchange, store credit, or refund (minus 25% restocking fee). Returns must be made within 10 business days of RMA issuance. Opened items incur an additional 15% fee. Non-returnable products include custom orders, “as is” or “used” products, installed or used items, firearms/NFA items post-ATF paperwork, and certain electronic devices.
What is the current processing times for NFA items to ship?
NFA items such as Silencers, Short Barrel Rifles (SBR’s) and Short Barreled Shotguns, will process in 4-8 weeks. This is due to the Form 3 process and the NFA Branch processing times to approve the Dealer to Dealer transfer paperwork. Once processed and approved you will receive tracking information.
